Success Through Better Branding
Marketing your cause to levels previously unknown
3 a.m. Design Studio was formed in 2004 as a showcase and creative outlet for Chris Hood, a freelance designer with a knack for print design, web development, logo creation and brand protection, creative direction and photography. The studio is currently based in Macon, Georgia and serves clients, large and small, all across the U.S.
September marked a huge milestone for the Studio as we packed up our laptops and moved in to a couple of swank new diggs located smack in the middle of historic Downtown Macon. Sporting one of the best views of any office in the area, our new studio is a haven of creative inspiration and good times in general.
3 a.m. Design Studio provides logo and brand identity development, graphic design services for web and print, art direction, outdoor signage, wide format printing, product- social- and event photography as well as a host of other advertising and marketing services to local and global companies and organizations of all sizes. If your organization needs advertising help or design work without the complications of a full-time, in-house designer, or your corporation just prefers advice from outside contractors, 3 a.m. Design Studio can ensure you're connected with the creative forces you need.
How our process works, and why you should care
Initial Consultation
In our first meeting we want to get an in-depth understanding of the nature of your company and help determine the materials and services you need to meet your goals. Who is your target audience? What is your message? What is the personality of your organization? What are the goals of the project? Does the scope of your project fit within your budget? What is the proposed timetable?
Proposal
After meeting and deliberating your needs and how to provide the best possible solutuions, we will send you a proposal outlining the details of the project as well as expected costs. Our proposals are based on an estimated number of hours for the project as well as the costs of goods and services provided during the project. After the initial evaluation, many of our clients prefer to work on an hourly basis. With your signature and deposit, your project will hold a place on our production board and the creative process will begin.
Creative
Our creative team congregates in the "Green Room" where we do a thorough review of the notes we made from the initial consultation and then bounce the idea ball around and take further notes on the project and begin to give the project more structure, details and solidify a game plan to bring the project through to fruition. All projects are reviewed, revised and reviewed again internally by the creative director before being proofed you.
Presentation
After we've mulled over the details of your project and its design has been approved interally, we will present you with the concepts for your review. Projects are posted to our website and you will be notified via email that your proofs are ready for viewing.
Proofing and Revisions
At this point the project becomes a hands-on collaborative effort between you and our design team. We request your input to make sure our creative vision matches or exceeds your expectations. We listen to your comments on revisions to layout, colors, fonts, image treatment, et cetera, and work them into the design for the next iteration. This process continues until you are satisfied with the end result. All projects must have a proofed OK'd and signed before they are sent out to a service provider or posted to a website.
Publishing
After the proofing process is complete and you've signed off on the perfect proof, it's time to bring the concept to reality.
Print
We have a select group of reputable printers we use for digital and traditional offset printing. We will follow your project though the production phases and notifiy you of its progress.
Web
Website development is done completely in-house. Our developers will ensure that the approved concept for your website is accurately translated to the Internet.
